Across the GW

It was nice to see my family for my cousin's birthday party last night in Jersey!  How you doin? lol

Even though I wish I could hear my aunt's incredulous laughter one more time I'm so grateful for the people in my life. Thank you God for relationships!

Excerpt from The Parable of the God Chosen Husband!

"Honey from the honeycomb tastes sweet. In the same way, wisdom is pleasing to you. If you find it, you have hope for the future, and your wishes will come true." Proverbs 24:13

A parable is a earthly story with a heavenly meaning. I hope you enjoy this passage.

From the Parable of the God Chosen Husband -1st parable of 16

Once upon a time, in a kingdom far, far, far away where trees grew very tall, fruit of every color bloomed in abundance and flowers of every seed sprung up from every spot of earth lived four splendidly beautiful princesses. The kingdom was named Jewel Kingdom for you see, the King was their Father and He loved his daughters so much each of them was a precious jewel in His eyes.

They were all gifted with not just beauty but intelligence, good nature and unique talent.

Although the princesses had many suitors, each lived in her own tower to wait for her handpicked love…

Meanwhile, the kingdom was flocked with men. Suitable men from all around the world came to greet the radiant princesses by knocking at their tower doors.
And the princesses were impressed!

Handsome men, strong men, men with honors, men with medals, men with trophies and stamps of approval stood at their tower doors.

Men on horses, men in grand carriages, men on camels and men on stilts asked for the ladies’ hands in marriage.

Men wearing crowns, Men carrying swords and men in armor promised the chosen four the world.

Tall men, petite men, stocky men, bearded men, shaven men, dark men, fair men,

Funny men, shy men complimented the spectacular princesses.

Men bearing gifts,
Men wooing with lutes and electric guitars,
Men reciting verses propped on one knee pledged their love and adoration at the princesses’ tower doors.

And they all came and they all left without one acceptance to their generous proposals.

For when the royal daughters’ hearts skipped a beat their Father would say, “I have not chosen any of them, for it is not time.” And the princesses were obedient.

They bid the suitors’ farewell each saying, “Sorry, Father has not chosen you. Goodbye!”
And this happened every day with the same results. And the three princesses were growing tired of waiting.

Till one day another rambunctious group was allowed into the tower gates.

When the eldest princess looked down and saw a sailor with a fine physique she said with great enthusiasm, “I’m tired of waiting!”

“Remember what Father said sister. Now is not the time.” The fourth princess replied.

“Oh forget what Father said. I can choose my own love. Look, he is so strong. I bet he can protect me from any danger and his teeth are pearly white. See how he smiles up at me? His biceps are like two great cannon balls. See how he flexes them? I will always be safe in his arms.” The princess blushed deeply.
The first princess winked down at the muscular sailor, “He is perfect for me.”

She sang, “I chose him!” and ran down the spiral steps and into the brawny man’s big arms.

He hugged her fiercely
AND SQUEEZED!!

Suddenly she felt discomfort; she felt an awful hairy itch.
She opened her eyes.
She was squeezing a huge pus filled RAT!
The rat’s red beady eyes raced with crazy excitement. She screamed and tried to get away but the filthy rat bit her tongue. Olive and white polka bumps rose over her once rosy lips.

Father said angrily, “You are not worthy of my inheritance. You are impatient! My child you looked at his appearance and not his heart. And now you have something you cannot give back.”

( from  page 28) The remaining princess stayed in her tower another year.  “Although it would be nice to have a companion, I don’t need a suitor to fulfill me.” The princess thought
She loved to walk with her Father in the morning, and laugh with Him in the afternoons because there was always joy in her heart for him. He whispered his promises in her ear before she rested her head down to sleep at night.

(From page 32) Her Father’s wise voice spoke,
“This is the one daughter. I handpicked him before you were born. I gave him an assignment to tend the sheep until it was time to reveal his true gift, the gift to heal like you, my princess. He is my gift to you. Together you saved the baby.”

Unmistakably smitten, the princess said,
“Yes, this is the one you told me about. You said he would come at the right time and he did. And his talents match mine. He was right here all along?”

“Yes I was. As you walked with the King I walked with him as well.” The physician smiled down at her.

The couple embraced and although they felt like they just met they were not strangers."

The women in the story are no ordinary women they are royalty, princesses by birth, sisters. The Father is King, Ruler of all things, He has dominion and power and He sees and knows all things. Their Father is God Almighty and He loves these wonderfully unique women all the same. He doesn’t love one more than the other. He gives His daughters four towers to dwell in, four occupations, four gifts, four talents to nourish and perfect for the Kingdom while they wait for the one He chooses for them to marry.

But one by one three of His daughters give in to their natural desires.

The Father’s gift is too big to place on a handsome face, too original to find in a book, too magnificent to find in earthly jewels. What He has for His daughters that love Him is a man to complement their talent, not to complete them (they should be already complete with God) but to enhance their capabilities. Together, as man and wife they are powerful, remarkable and life changing; to those that watch their relationship grow.

His last and only remaining daughter sought His love day after day. She looked for her Father and found Him. She delighted in His presence and He never left her side. Not only that, she cared about people.  When her sisters lost their reason to wait she reminded them. She was an encourager. Do we encourage our sisters in Christ even when they fall?
We look for our soul mate in scrubs, a three piece suit with all the makings of success already written on him, he may be in the group I named but he may also be in the other group we speedily skim past. What connects us is not the money we make nor the positions we hold but who we serve and whose blessing we fall under.
You never know, your husband might be the same person you work beside every day or the guy you rarely say “hello” to at church service. You don’t see it but there is a passion you both might share. Allow God to reveal this special person to you. How? Get intimate with your King. Read His word (the Holy Bible), dedicate your life to serving in His Kingdom. Reclaim the promise He has over your life. That promise is to Reign. Remember, He only sends the best gents to His girls."

For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.” (Gen 2:24)

I came back from an audition in Brooklyn and was so elated that I got a callback. Mind you this is the same theater I bombed in the same time last year. So for me this was a complete triumph!

I was feeling good until I got on the 4 train and there was a "bum" that got on and sat right across from me. I watched as he pulled his filthy suitcase closer to him as disgusted eyes just stared and looked down on his filth and grim. Some train passengers actually got up and moved as far as possible from this man wrapped in torn and stench ridden clothes. I watched their annoyance in wonderment.

I watched as he scratched his side, ate a Reese's peanut butter cup and continued to scratch himself...and I did nothing.

Something inside me told me to take out the 20 dollars I had in my pocket and hand it to him. But you know what excuse I made to not budge?

"I will;if he stays on until I get off." How silly is that??

The very next stop he got up and left.

I felt like crap on the floor. Do you know why? I wasn't obedient to that voice inside me. I was no better than everyone else that moved away from him and looked down on his life because I sat there and did nothing.

Jesus says in Matthew chapter five;

"Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn
for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth,
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness
for they will be filled."

We are God's messengers so we should be the ones doing the blessings. We are Christ's apprentice. We should be his hands, his feet, his voice, everything he left for us to be, everything I wasn't on that train. Although my heart was right the action wasn't filled. He still walked off with the same countenance he had when he came on.

As a Christian I awaken, walk out the door expecting an encounter with Christ. The homeless man could have been Christ in disguise, waiting for me to Do Something. Extend my heart for a few seconds...

To some people this whole discussion is not a big deal. This behavior is normal. Not for a transforming Christian. We have a responsibility that goes behind ourselves. Just like a teacher tests a student God gives us small tests of the heart.
I failed mine today.

"Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy

Remember that when we show mercy to others God will pour his mercy on us when we need him to.

The same way Jesus showed mercy to us on that cross, shedding tears and blood for our wretched
filthy sins. He could have looked at us the same way those passengers on the train looked at the homeless man.
He could have said, "Ill. I'm not going down there
to save those creatures! They are too pathetic and they stink too.

He could have inched farther and farther away leaving us to our dark ugly doom. But He extended His heart and inched closer and closer until we could feel His presence, His sweet redemption, His beautiful cleansing power.
I'm so glad He didn't inch away from my grim. What a relief to know
he loves me in spite the tracing stench of imperfection!

"Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God."

I guess it bothered me so much because my heart is set on being with God, feeling Him near and when my heart is near
Him it can't help but want to Love the way He does.

I yearn for a world that doesn't look at what
they can "get" but what they can "give".

God's still working on this imperfection. Me.
